You have access to either the Clear or Radiant dental plan depending on the cover you held through your employer. Please see the Clear schedule if you held a Clear or Bright dental plan, and see Radiant if you had a Radiant policy. If you’re unsure which plan you have access to, please call us.
It’s important that you read and understand the terms and conditions of this policy before applying for cover. Note these plans may not be an exact match to the cover you previously held through your employer, so please read the documents below carefully. Unum Dental do not give advice about the suitability of the cover to meet your specific needs.

Continuing your cover allows you to claim towards the cost of minor and major dental care, such as check-ups, hygienist visits, fillings, crowns and even dental implants (not available on all policies). You can also benefit from:

- Your choice of dental practice – NHS or private
- Child orthodontic cover (insured children only)

Please note:
- This policy generally meets the demands and needs of someone wishing to obtain cover towards the cost of everyday dental expenses, as well as dental emergency treatments, dental injuries and mouth cancer. We provide information for you to come to your own decision whether this insurance is suitable for you.
- You are only eligible to apply for continuing cover within the first 30 days following the end of your cover with the employer who provided your dental insurance benefit. We reserve the right to refuse any applications received after this date.
- Your cover will start on the 1st day of the next month after we have received your application. i.e. If we receive and process your application on the 12th, your cover will start on the 1st of the following month.
