Help@hand is a virtual, value-added benefit service powered by Square Health, which connects the employees of Unum customers to third-party specialists who can help manage their health and wellbeing, and that of their family.
Access to the service is facilitated by Unum at no cost when selected with Critical Illness cover or Life Insurance. Unum is not the provider of the service but can withdraw or change the service at any time. The service is entirely separate from any insurance policy provided by Unum and is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant third-party specialists. If an individual requires medication, a referral letter or a private fit note, they will need to pay for these. They will also need to pay a delivery charge if they opt to have the medication sent to them. The remote GP will go through the options and next steps during the consultation.

Personalised mental health treatment via video or face to face consultation. 8 consultations per year shared between employees and their partner.
Direct access via the app to physiotherapists who will provide personalised treatment. 8 consultations per year shared between the employee and their partner.
Available either in person or via video consultation with UK-based private consultants, following a final diagnosis. Employees, their partner and children* have access to 2 consultations per year between them.
Provided through LifeWorks, our Employee Assistance Programme offers your employees a wide range of life, money and wellbeing support including 24/7 helplines, financial wellbeing, mental wellbeing support, life event resources, health and fitness plans, legal assistance and line manager support.
Employees can access a wellbeing calendar via the Help@hand app providing wellbeing content and direct sign up to regular events, such as webinars and podcasts covering lifestyle, physical, emotional and financial topics.
Help@hand is available to your insured employees at no cost to you or increase in premium if you are a Critical Illness or Life Insurance policyholder. For Dental Insurance policyholders, Help@hand can be provided to your employees for a fee of £4 per employee, per month payable to Square Health Limited.
