Unum’s Employee Assistance Programme is changing

At Unum, we are always innovating to better meet our customer’s needs. Our health and wellbeing services are no exception. We want as many people as possible to have easy and fast access to this support when they need it.

What's different?

We have fully integrated key Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services into Help@hand, our award-winning employee health and wellbeing app, to offer access to all our essential support services in one place.

Combining Help@hand and valuable EAP services under one roof makes it straightforward for you to administer and easier for your employees to find the support they need.

Impactful EAP services

As a result, Help@hand now includes impactful EAP services — such as the 24/7 helpline, financial and legal support, and useful wellbeing resources.

Registering for Help@hand

Unum Group Income Protection, Group Critical Illness and Group Life customers can register for Help@hand anytime, and roll this out to employees.

If you are completely new to Help@hand and want to know more about how to administer your account or have any questions that aren’t covered in our FAQS, please email us at help-at-hand@unum.co.uk.

Just remember, once you upload employee email addresses an invitation email will be sent out quickly – typically within one day. We recommend that, in advance, you explore our employee facing communication templates below.

Employee communications

We suggest that you let your employees know about the upcoming changes as soon as you are ready, to make sure they have enough of a heads up. They might need to withdraw cashback from LifeWorks Perks, or need reassuring that if they are currently receiving a course of counselling treatment with our previous provider, they will be able to finish this.

We’ve made this easy by creating a suite of content to support company communications and conversations with employees.
