Unum, the UK’s leading disability insurer, has scored a hat trick at the 2008 Health Insurance Awards, collecting the top awards for Best Group Income Protection Provider of the Year; Best Group Critical Illness Provider of the Year; and Most Innovative New Product for its Dual Benefit Group Income Protection.
Unum was also highly commended in the Best Individual Income Protection Provider category.

These awards are a resounding vote of confidence from intermediaries, whose support we especially value and appreciate. It follows a year of real innovation for our company and it is great to see this recognised by the industry.
This is the eleventh year Unum has won Best Group Income Protection Provider and, it is the second year the company has won Most Innovative New Product – which compares new products from across the insurance industry, including private medical insurance, long-term care and others. In 2002 Unum was awarded Most Innovative New Product for Elixia 123.
