The UK's leading disability insurer, UnumProvident, has appointed Theresa Hobson-Frohock to the role of Director of Human Resources.
UnumProvident in the UK has almost doubled in size during the past five years and now has approximately 1,000 employees located at its major sites in Dorking, Basingstoke and Bristol, with regional sales offices in a number of major cities.
Chairman and Managing Director , Susan Ring, commented:
I am delighted that Theresa is joining us. She is a very experienced senior HR professional who for the past five years has held the position of Human Resources Director for Sony United Kingdom Ltd. Her role with UnumProvident is of vital importance to our business as we continue to grow.
Theresa's career spans over 30 years and in addition to Sony includes other household names such as Unilever and Marks & Spencer. She has also held pan-European roles for an American speciality chemical company and a South African fine paper business.
Commenting on her new appointment, Theresa said:

In her spare time Theresa - a mother of two - enjoys travel, including the diverse pleasures of Central and South America, as well as fell walking in the Lake District where she has a small retreat.
Her appointment follows the departure of the previous Director of Human Resources, Andy Cross, who left to take a senior role with Virgin Atlantic.
